French Flintlock Pistol for Gendarmerie, Modèle ‘AN IX’

French Flintlock Pistol for Gendarmerie, Modèle ‘AN IX’ Pistolet reglementaire Français Genderamerie. Single shot flintlock pistol with smooth walnut full stock, an octagonal barrel, merging to round in Cal. 15 mm and with double iron barrel band. Stamped on the barrel ‘1811’ and signed on the lockplate: “Maubeuge Manuf. Imp...” (= ‘Manufacture Impériale de Maubeuge’). Vaulted iron lockplate, cock, trigger guard, thumb plate, smooth iron gripcap and iron ramrod. Frans Vuursteenslotpistool voor Cavalerie, Model ‘AN IX’ Op de loop gestempeld ‘1811’ en op de gewelfde ijzeren slotplaat gesigneerd: “Maubeuge Manuf. Imp…” (= ‘Manufacture Impériale de Maubeuge’). Het pistool met een gladde notenhouten lade en een gladde 8-kantige, in rond overgaande loop in Kal. 15 mm en dubbele ijzeren loopband. Gewelfde haan, ijzeren trekkerbeugel, duimplaat, gladde ijzeren kolfkap en laadstok. Lengte: 24.5 cm. (II)
