A Rare German Flintlock Pistol, circa 1730. For officer of the Navy. Single shot flintlock pistol, so-called tromblon pistol with a wide barrel ending in 35mm. Smooth walnut full stocks with Damascus barrel (). The octagonal barrel merging to round and with a smooth bore. Vaulted iron lockplate (not signed), iron trigger guard, smooth iron grip-cap and iron ramrod. Zeldzaam Duits Vuursteenslotpistool, zgn. ‘Tromblon’, ca. 1730 Voor Marine Officier (niet gemerkt). Gladde notenhouten lade met achtkantige, in rond overgaande gladde 'trompet' vormige damastloop (loopmonding: 35 mm). Vlakke ijzeren slotplaat en haan, ijzeren trekkerbeugel, gladde ijzeren kolfkap en ijzeren laadstok. Lengte: 35 cm. [II]
