Ferdinand de Bruijn, was een enthousiaste verzamelaar. Zijn verzameling mondde uit tot meer dan 500 objecten. Het is een eclectische verzameling met diverse soorten zadels en hamen (denk aan militair, paard, koe, hond, dressuur en pakzadels) uit veel verschillende landen (o.a. Nederland, Engeland, Italië, Duitsland, Marokko, Zuid-Amerika, USA en Canada). 

Ferdinand de Bruijn was an enthusiastic collector of saddles and hames, and his collection consists of more than 500 objects. It is an eclectic collection with various types of saddles, hames and harnesses (think military, horse, cow, dog, dressage, and pack saddles) from many different countries (including the Netherlands, England, Italy, Germany, Morocco, South America, the USA, and Canada).
