A Bronze Figure of the Goddess Durga
India, ca. 18th century
cast in three sections, the four-armed goddess seated on a stool, wielding trisula, damaru, kapala and khadga, a five-headed cobra canopy above, the square base with five severed heads in front, the scrolling aureole with kirttimukha finial.
